The News 03:32
Have you heard the news? Scientists in live interviews informing us to not be confused. You see, swarms of insects have taken flight, destroying our crops in the dead of night… oh, what a fright. And, though not right, we aren’t taken by surprise. We ignored this possible outcome, facts right before our eyes. And here they come, for all, not just some. They don’t separate the poor, the rich, the needy or the scum. And we’ve run out of time… and there’s no more time. Some of us will just ignore the truth that is surely in store. For the entire human race, there’s just no time. On the wings of the small, comes death for us all. What they won’t consume, will rot in their wake, because of the decisions that we didn’t make. What they won’t consume, will rot in their wake.

The Panic 06:04
It looks like the neighbor that I fight—for food, and water, and power every night (we fight every night)—well, he just might have a new weapon that adds to his might: he’s kidnapped my daughter and will trade her for my wife... and, that ain't right. He plans to make me choose which family member I’ll lose, it’s a panic, it’s a panic. It’s a choice I’m not ready to make without blowing a fuckin’ fuse. It’s the panic, oh, it’s the panic. He doesn’t know this side of me, and what’s left of our neighborhood, doesn't really know me. You’ve cornered an animal son, and this panic, this panic, this panic, it weighs a ton. When all of this first started, we shared the fear, but now that real survival is here? In this panic, my family comes first, so, hey neighbor, you can expect, expect my worst. That day the plague came, it arrived with panic, as a flame. That day the plague came, it arrived with panic, as a flame and shame. So, love thy neighbor until no love shall remain (or until the end of days came).

The Fall 03:09
The power’s gone out, we swirl in doubt, we huddle tight throughout these sleepless nights. In the beginning, the world stopped it’s grinning, with our patience thinning, for the knowledge that no one is winning. The enemy was ourselves, we’ve got no one to blame, for the famine, the heat, the decimation that came. This is the fall, and we ignored the call, so nature has decided to finish it all. We were once on top of it all, now we scrape for scraps as we crawl. Oh, and I remember making such plans, and now the dreams of stone, they sift through my hands as tiny grains of sand. We build it up, and then smash it down. We build it up, and fate comes around. We build it up, up from the ground. But, the dreams we built were never sound. Now we live in the fall of it all.

The Fear 03:21
Who’s got water and are willing to share? Who’s got sympathy and actually cares? Who’s got fire and will pass the flame? Who is protected by a mulitia’s aim? Oh, I’m runnin’ on empty. Oh, I’m runnin’ on empty. Running on empty. Wait… who’s comin’ this way? Oh, should I run, or should I stay? Everyone is out here on their own, without communication, power, internet, or a phone. And don’t think that for a second, man, that you and I might have the same plan, to make it through this new life as best we can, since it all began. We’re both hungry, we’re both starving. We’re both hungry, and then there’s also this fear. There’s also this fear. Oh… who’s got water to share? Who actually cares? Who’s got fire and will pass the flame, or will we load, point and take aim? Do we feel the same? Will we load, point and take aim?

The End 06:32
This must be the end… I’ve got empty cans, I’ve got an empty heart, I’ve got an empty gut, oh, and I’ve got empty hands. Please be end end of me, it’s too dark to see, and I’m so fucking alone, oh… in my head, there’s no one home. So, please be the end! The only ones alive, wish they were not. I wonder aimlessly, just to be caught. Perhaps I’ll become food for my neighbor after all, if he’s still hungry too, he can have it all… if there was anything left of me. Please be the end. Please be the end. I welcome the end, death is my only friend. Bring me the end.
